Works Cited
To create a list of research sources, use Noodle Tools, a citation-making software. The link is on our digital resources webpage. See Mrs. Phethean for log in details.
Remember:
- We use MLA style.
- Center the words Works Cited on your page.
- Reverse indent after the first line of each citation.
- If you have more than one source, alphabetize by the first chunk of information for each listing.
- Double space all citations; do not skip line spaces in between citations.
- Watch punctuation.
Ask Mrs. Phethean if you need help!

Polar Bear Research
In library class kindergartners research about polar bears and learn many amazing facts. We look at databases, websites, books, and videos, and watch live zoo webcams of polar bears in action!

TURKEY RESEARCH!
First graders learn about turkeys, and especially research to find the answer to a question: DO TURKEYS MAKE GOOD PETS?
We can research by reading books, database articles and websites. We especially enjoy FaceTiming with Trish Vasta, the "turkey expert" from Hemlock Hills Farm, a nearby family-owned farm. She helps the researchers realize that the answer to our research question is both "yes" AND "no."
