Middle School Students Hold a Sweet Sixteen Competition Based on French Songs

Step aside, sports fans; there’s a new Sweet Sixteen competition in town.

Briarcliff Middle School French students in grades six, seven and eight are participating in Manie Musicale 2024.

The competition features current songs played on the radio in French-speaking countries. The songs go head-to-head to see which students think are the best in a Sweet Sixteen bracket format.

Briarcliff Middle School Students Take a Stand

What is the story of a Briarcliff student? And why do stories matter?

Eight graders in Maggie White’s “Storytelling for Change” enrichment class at Briarcliff Middle School explore these questions, along with a range of examples of storytelling from podcasts to Ted Talks to Author's Notes to poetry, and ultimately choose the best format to tell their own story.  

Recently, in honor of Black History Month, students explored the question “Why is the story of Black History month an important story to tell?”

Middle School Students Learn about Digital Safety

Your digital footprint can shape your future, for better or for worse.

Students at Briarcliff Middle School learned this fact, and more, in a special digital safety presentation, which was in conjunction with PNW BOCES.

The presentation was conducted by retired investigator and police officer Tom Roidl, who met with the entire student body and later that evening also met with parents.
