The HR Department supports the District’s vision of excellence by providing support to our staff in the education of our students. We are a resource for issues such as contract administration, employee leaves, resignations and retirements. We oversee recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and placement of personnel.
Our Department administers all personnel policies and procedures. We also oversee benefits, credits and salaries and maintain attendance and personnel records.
We believe in the importance of consistently establishing and effectively communicating sound policies and practices that treat all employees with dignity and equality while maintaining compliance with laws, school directives and negotiated agreements.
Dear Briarcliff Faculty and Staff,
Welcome to the 2021- 2022 School Year!
This school year will be pivotal in ensuring that our students receive emotional and academic support in order to be set up for future success. With new positions created in the district office we will have the opportunity to focus on the many facets necessary to run efficiently and have a positive impact on both, staff and students. We will have an opportunity to support initiatives, to focus on Curriculum and Instruction, Human Resources, Special Education Services, and to responsibly connect these areas to the financial implications that each has on our district.
It is because of your hard work and dedication during the last year and a half that we are positioned for success this year. You have all been resilient and worked so diligently in coming together to provide the best for our students. During the pandemic we created a sense of normalcy by providing our students the opportunity to come to school daily, despite what was happening around them.
Knowing the importance of transparency in communication we wanted to provide you with access to reference this information, one of the first items to be updated this year was the Employee Handbook. To help support the success of each employee, we are providing this tool for easy access to Board policies (listed and hyperlinked for reference) and procedures that apply to Briarcliff Manor UFSD employees. In this handbook you will find the tenets of policy and procedures, as well as the description of benefits in broad terms. We have also provided for your reference the contact list of District Office Administration & Support staff. We encourage you to ask your direct supervisors for any clarification and feel free to reach out to us when you need additional assistance.
