Mathfax Contest Brings an Abundance of Winners to Todd Elementary

The results are in! Students in grades three, four and five at Todd Elementary recently participated in the Mathfax math endeavor with great success. The national program, which is open to all students in those grades, was supervised by Todd teachers Shelly Graham and Cindy Yaeger.

The program was comprised of four contests in total, each being 30 minutes long. The contests are in the form of a test on Educontest.com. The tests were sent to Mathfax, which compiled the cumulative standings after each test regarding the school scores and the highest individual scores. After the fourth and final contest, all participants received certificates and the top three students for each grade received an award.

“We want to thank all of the students who participated in Mathfax this year,” said Ms. Yaeger, who began this program at Todd 20 years ago. “It was definitely not the ending we had planned, but we are glad to have been able to get all four tests completed,” she added.
