Art can stimulate the mind and evoke dfferent feelings. The Frick Collection Museum in New York City, for example, is known to evoke upbeat feelings. The same can be said about an exhibit currently on display at Briarcliff Manor Public Library featuring artwork from Briarcliff Middle School students.
The show, which is being held on the second floor and is currently displaying selected artwork from students in grades six, seven and eight, evokes feelings of happiness and peace. It will remain through the end of March.
“We have nearly 60 works on view,” said art teacher Jessica Dubin, who has curated the art show along with fellow middle school art teacher John Brooks.
“Mr. Brooks and I strive to share student work with the community at large. We celebrate the creativity of our students and hope that the show brings joy to those who see it," she added.
