Teaching Assistants

A Teaching Assistant supports classroom instruction by working collaboratively with teachers to help students succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally. Responsibilities include assisting with small-group or individual instruction, reinforcing lessons, supporting students with diverse learning needs, preparing materials, supervising students during classroom and school activities, and helping maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment. Teaching Assistants also support behavior management strategies, follow teacher and district guidelines, and communicate effectively with staff to promote student growth and well-being

Starting Salary 26-27: $26,650

Leave Accruals:

• 11 Personal Illness Days
• 3 Personal Days

• .5 Cancer Screening

Work Year: Briarcliff Manor UFSD School Days (200 days)

Work Day: • 7:45 a.m. - 2:45/3:00 p.m.

Additional Substitute Pay: • $25 per class up to $75 or $90 per day

Chaperone Rate of Pay: • $85 - $110 per event
