School Monitor

School Monitors play an important role in supporting a safe, orderly, and welcoming school environment. They supervise students in hallways, cafeterias and outdoor areas to ensure positive behavior and smooth transitions between classes.  Monitors also help maintain safety by guiding students across streets, directing traffic during bus arrivals and dismissals, and assisting teachers during lunch and recess. In addition, they greet and direct campus visitors, helping ensure that the school remains a secure and well-managed environment for all.

Starting Salary: $18.14–$24.51 per hour (Salaries based on SRP Salary Scale)

Overtime available for afterschool activities and events

Night Shift Differential: $1,750

• .5 Cancer Screening

Work Year: Briarcliff Manor UFSD School Days (196 days)

Work Day: 8 hours per day, with a 30-minute lunch

All school monitors may join the School Resource Professional (SRP) bargaining unit.  You may review the SRP bargaining agreement by going to Contracts (CBAs)
