School Closings & Delays

If school is closed or delayed due to inclement weather or other reasons, employees will be notified by the B- Button and an automated call. Additionally, announcements will be made on our website and our social media platforms (X and Facebook). 

Order of systems for emergency communication:  

  1. Dr. Kaishian (@SuperKaish) first communicates via X and Instagram. 
  2. An emergency alert is transmitted via the B-Button App. 
  3. A message is posted to our District website - www.briarcliffschools.org.  
  4. An email is sent to parent/guardian accounts. 
  5. A Facebook message will be posted on Briarcliff Manor's Facebook page - follow "Briarcliff Manor School District". 

When school begins and the district is forced to close early due to an early dismissal or emergency, staff members can leave ONLY when all students are dismissed.
