Bears Bulletin 3-12-23 Dear Todd Families, |
It's Daylight Saving Time! Today we move our clocks ahead to add one hour of sunlight to the end of the day. Spring is nearly here! One highlight from this past week was when Todd 4th graders enjoyed a visit from performer and teaching artist, Dave Ruch, through the BOCES Arts in Education Program. He told stories of history through music with a focus on Colonial America, which connects to the 4th grade Social Studies and ELA curriculum. Thank you to the PTA for their generous support for programs such as these. |
This week's positive affirmation is, "I will remain curious and keep learning." Our goal is to develop life-long learners with a desire for continuous growth. Have a wonderful week! Warm regards, Jessica Michaelidis, Principal Stephanie Grace, Acting Assistant Principal |

MIDDLE SCHOOL FAMILY ORIENTATION FOR 5th GRADE FAMILIES on MARCH 16th at 7:00pm The time has come for our fifth graders to begin the transition to middle school. Last week, a team from Briarcliff Middle School consisting of principal Amy Gladstone, assistant principal Kristen Bonnici, guidance counselor Sara Piersons, and teacher Robert Iovino, visited our 5th grade classrooms to share information about middle school life and answer student questions. This Thursday, March 16th, all 5th grade parents are invited to attend a Family Orientation session from 7:00-8:00pm in the Middle School Little Theater. BMS administrators and members of the 6th grade team will speak with you about the curriculum, how the schedule works, and what to expect as your child "moves up" to the secondary campus. Later this month on March 28th, our 5th graders will take a field trip to BMS to learn more about the world language program and experience some of the wonderful things the middle school has to offer. |
PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on Friday, March 24th from 7:45am to 2:45pm. This is a non-attendance day for students. Classroom teachers have shared information with you about scheduling conferences using SignUp Genius. Providers and support teachers will join parent-teacher conferences with classroom teachers to the extent possible. When that is not feasible, they will be reaching out to schedule their own parent-teacher conferences with you. Additionally, encore teachers will be available to meet with parents throughout the day. Should you have any questions about scheduling a parent-teacher conference, please contact the teacher/provider directly via email. |
TODD MULTICULTURAL FAIR & DANCE PARTY The PTA Multicultural Committee has planned a wonderful community event, which will take place in the Todd Gym on Saturday, March 25th from 1:00-4:00pm. We look forward to seeing you there as we celebrate diversity and unity. |
