Dear 7th Grade Families, We've been informed students are using snap-chat to send messages in a large group. While many of these messages are typical conversations among middle schoolers, it has been brought to our attention that some recent message exchanges have been cruel and hurtful by use of unkind words or images. We take this very seriously, as each person has a right to feel safe and comfortable within our school building. We ask that parents have regular conversations with their children about social interactions, friend groups and their overall experiences. It is important to check your child's cell phone and iPad periodically – not because you do not trust them but because you want to ensure their safety and offer them your support. It's important to note that based on snap-chat settings, some of these messages may disappear, while some may not. Feel free to reach out should you have any questions or would like to discuss further. Best, Amy Gladstone, Principal Kristen Bonnici, Asst. Principal Nancy Kress, 7th Grade Team Leader |
