Dear Families,
"One kind word can warm three winter months." While we are in our winter season, it warms our hearts to see the kindness shown daily by our students.

Computer Based Test Simulation
On January 24th, we will have students complete a short "sampler" of questions in preparation for the NYS Assessments. This simulation is very brief. It will allow us to ensure that students can access the testing portal and permit students to see the tools they can use on the state assessments. Please be sure your child shuts down and fully charge their laptop every evening, so we have ample power for this simulation.
NYS State testing dates are projected for:
- ELA: The week of April 17th
- Math: The week of May 1st
Reporting Student Absence or Early Dismissal:
…your child is going to be absent?
Parents should use School Dismissal (on our website) or call the main office (769-6343, extension 1, for attendance reporting) on the day of your child's absence.
…your child needs to leave school early?
Parents must notify us using School Dismissal – indicate the name of the person picking up the student (18+ years of age), the time of pick and reason for the early dismissal. The student will receive an email from the attendance secretary at the start of the day. At the appropriate time, the teacher will send the child to the office for pick up. Notification ahead of time ensures that your child is ready for pick up and reduces classroom disruptions. Please note: We ask parents to avoid making appointments or removing students from the building during school hours. Early dismissal is only for those times when a necessary appointment cannot be scheduled after school hours. Due to the carline and buses, the last early-dismissal pick-up is 2:40pm. You will need to show photo ID to sign your child out of school.
