September 2022
Dear Senior Parents and Students:
The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) will be given at Briarcliff High School on Wednesday, October 12th from 8:30am-12:30pm. Formal classes will not be in session as all juniors and some sophomores will be taking the exam. Freshmen will have a specific program designed for them during the day and sophomores not testing will not be in attendance.
As seniors work on the college application process, Wednesday, October 12th from 8:30am-12:30pm is an ideal time to review their college essays with a member of the BHS English Department. English teachers will be available on a walk-in basis to assist seniors in preparing their college applications for submissions. We encourage all seniors to take advantage of this opportunity to tap the expertise of the BHS faculty.
You may also consider using a portion of the day to complete upcoming assignments or fulfill the community service requirement for graduation (due by 4/10/23). Kindly access the following link for community service information and opportunities https://www.briarcliffschools.org/our-schools/briarcliff-high-school/student-life/community-service.
Note:
Transportation on October 12th: Regular Briarcliff/Pocantico morning bus. Students may take either a Briarcliff/Pocantico 12:30pm or 3:00pm bus departure home. The late bus will leave BHS at 3:45pm.
- The Cafeteria will be serving a "grab and go" breakfast option.
- There will be no afterschool clubs on Wednesday, October 12th.
- Athletic practices and competitions will take place on Wednesday, October 12th as scheduled.
