This weekend we will celebrate Memorial Day. This is a day that's set aside to remember, with gratitude and appreciation, all those who served and died for our country and freedom. If you or a family member have served or are currently serving our country- thank you for your service. May your day be filled with memories and peace. FIELD DAY "This was the best day of the year!" "This was awesome!", "This was so much fun!" Think back to your own Field Days and what do you remember? Our Todd students will be able to remember playing with friends, fantastic music, great games, ice pops, Pizza Day and two epic slimings. Thank you to all the folks who made Field Day possible, especially our PE Staff: Michelle Hiltsley, Jamie Tranchida (slimed), and Rob Higle (slimed) supported by the Encore Staff and our High School Interns. It was so nice to see the kids laughing, competing, and enjoying themselves. Thank you to the TAs, teachers, staff, and Dr. Kaishian for coming out to enjoy the day with the children. It made us feel optimistic that we're very close to getting back to normal. It was truly an extra special event this year. It was a true pleasure to watch our 5th graders perform the Wizard of Oz. The talent of our students never seizes to amaze me-they were marvelous. The play was a culmination of 2 weeks of hard work, effort, singing, dancing, and fun. I am so happy that our fifth graders were able to learn and grow from this wonderful opportunity. Thank you to our family volunteers and an extra special thank you to Johanna Pensyl and Susan Hart- we couldn't have done this without your dedication and support. Thank you for your continued partnership of shared responsibility and support in helping to keep our school and community safe and healthy. We want to assure you that our staff continues to follow the New York State Department of Health guidelines for social distancing in the classrooms and cafeterias. Please know that your child can wear a mask to school for an extra layer of protection.
