Dear Parents,
We are down the final days of the school year, and I want to thank you all for your support and partnership during a challenging time. Last June, we could not have predicted we would be open all year, and able to see our students every day. Truly, it has been an honor to watch our students learn and grow, show us so much resilience and bring us so much hope. They have been exceptional!
- Tomorrow and Thursday are half days, with dismissal at 11:45. We will run a block schedule for end of year activities that vary by grade level. However, we will not run lunch periods. Please send a snack to school with your child instead.
- For our 8th graders taking the Regents tomorrow, please know they will hand in their laptops at the conclusion of the exam. There will be multiple bus runs to accommodate them: 11:45, 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. The afternoon bus runs are shared with HS students. Of course, students may call home for pick up once they've handed in their laptops, if your schedule permits.
- 8th graders not taking the exam will stay with their home base classes.
- We will collect all technology items from 8th grade students tomorrow, as well as, from any younger students that were missing items.
- All remote learners may return technology items via curbside on June 24 from 2:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Finally, I want to honor and thank the members of our BMS family that will retire this year: Mary Yulo, Michael Diamente, Allison Murphy and Barbara Cuozzo. We thank them for their years of service and dedication. We will surely miss them!
We wish a happy and healthy summer to you and your families.
Regards,
Susan Howard and Amy Gladstone
