Dear Parents,
I hope this message finds you and your family feeling healthy and doing well. 24/7 Todd Library Book Return This is a reminder and update on Todd Library book drop options. We now have a large orange book return bin set up 24/7 outside the second Todd entrance. See the photo here. Stop by any time to return Todd Library books! This bin will be in place through the end of June.
Did we get your library books? Yes, I scanned back hundreds of books that families returned. Thank you so much! On Sunday, 6/7, I emailed families of students who still had out book(s) on their record. If you did not get an email about Todd Library books on 6/7, you are all set! Lost/missing book? If you're certain that an outstanding book is lost, you are most welcome to provide another hardcover copy of the title and drop it in the book return, clearly marked as a replacement with your child's name. This year, because of the unprecedented pandemic, we will not be collecting replacement monies for lost books.
It's also possible that the books were already returned earlier and that the scanning didn't "take." If you're certain that's the case, please email me. I will follow up on that in the future, and in the meantime will clear your child's record.
Summer Reading Lists Finally, this is a reminder that the Summer Reading Lists are posted on our website. These lists incorporate titles that are available as ebooks through library apps (Libby and Hoopla). Go to www.briarcliffschools.org, click Our Schools (top right), click Todd, click Learning Resources to the left of the Briarcliff bear, click Summer Reading Lists. Amy Kaplan is available throughout the summer at abgkaplan@gmail.com with any questions relating to getting a library card or accessing the library apps.
Thank you again, and please stay safe! Regards, Tara Phethean
