The following communication was delivered to Todd parents at 5pm, today:
Dear Parents,
It is with mixed emotions and sincere gratitude that I am announcing the retirement of Mrs. Abbey Siegel and Mrs. Shelley Graham, effective June 30, 2020. Mrs. Siegel and Mrs. Graham have been educating children for many years, most recently in the capacity of Third and Fourth Grade Teachers at Todd School.
Please join me virtually to celebrate the many accomplishments of these two treasured teachers and the impact they have made on our school community. They will leave behind a legacy of dedication, collaboration and teaching excellence. Join me as I extend our warmest wishes for the future to Abbey, Shelley and their families.
With the departure of Mrs. Siegel and Mrs. Graham, we are welcoming two colleagues to our fifth-grade team from the Middle School: Mrs. Sue Mauriello and Mr. Michael Cushen. We also will welcome back Rebecca Rampolla from a one-year sabbatical. Sue Mauriello I hope that your children are enjoying the special activities that our Encore Staff is providing on Wednesdays. Here is the link to last week's special production of Seussical the Musical https://web.microsoftstream.com/video/4aa231ca-da56-4a48-8c4c-8f80d8615d9a. I was so impressed by the talent of our Todd students and the dedication of Ms. Stufkosky and Ms. Bevilacqua for their time and dedication to creating this virtual experience and video for the children. Thank you!
It was lovely to see so many of you and your children at our Supply Pick-Up Days last week. A big thank you to Barbara Fiore, Susan Hart, Lois Olivieri and Michelle Hiltsley for their help. It certainly takes a village to return nearly 500 bags of supplies. We learned how to open and close an assortment of trunks and covered over 7 miles according to my watch! You will have a second chance to pick up the supplies, this Wednesday, June 3rd. Please email Barbara Fiore at bfiore@briarcliffschools.org if you'd like the materials. Look for information regarding the return of iPads, and school materials coming soon.
Lastly, I can't believe that we are in week 12 of remote learning. Once again I'd like to reiterate that this process would have been impossible without your partnership and support. I appreciate the feedback, suggestions and observations that you've reached out to share. Please stay healthy and safe as we begin to reopen parts of our society again.
Best regards, Colleen O'Neill-Mangan Anne Marie Foley
In case you missed it:
I wanted to make you all aware of a passion project that one of our amazing fifth graders, Luke Zuehlsdorff has initiated. This exemplifies the true meaning of community, kindness and caring. Luke is hoping that you be able to share this information with your children too. Way to go Luke!
Subject: Collecting Baby Bundles for Bundles of Babies
This is Luke Zuehlsdorff with a great charity cause for the spring. My mom, Anita Suchdeo, is on the Foundation Board of Open Door Family Medical Center. Open Door is on the forefront of the COVID-19 response in surrounding communities, such as our neighboring villages of Sleepy Hollow and Ossining. And yet, throughout the crisis, babies continue to be born. Open Door delivers over 500 newborns annually. They send the parent and child home with a "Baby Bundle" containing essential items to get them started. Please support Open Door by gathering supplies or using Open Door's "Baby Bundle" Amazon Wishlist. Please note who it's from so I can say thanks!
1. Open Door Amazon Wishlist link 2. Drop off any of the following items at my house. We will leave a collection box on our front porch at 7 Nichols Place (driveway on Law Road):
