Dear Parents,
I hope this note finds you and your families well. It's hard to believe, but we are entering our sixth week of remote learning. Teachers will continue to provide instruction in a variety of ways. We have been learning and adjusting our approach, based on the needs of students. At the same time, we are seeking to remain flexible even as we provide structure to support learning. It's quite a balancing act, and one I feel certain all of you are managing in your homes.
Please know that even though our building remains closed, we are here for you and your child. The best antidote for a frustrated student is a conference with his/her teacher. I encourage you (and your child) to reach out when help is needed.
In addition, we are adding a few items to help guide students this week. Mrs. Gladstone is offering grade level "town meetings" to help students feel connected, and our counselors are running advisory activities, individual and small group virtual meetings. We have added a "live" technology help desk (see below for details) that I expect you find very useful. Finally, we are adding the One Hour Delay Schedule to help us plan out our days. Please read on for more information, and as always, do not hesitate to reach out to me, Mrs. Gladstone, our counselors or teachers with any questions or concerns.
Technology Support: This week we will offer live technical support for students Monday to Friday, from 11 am until 2:00 pm. (Going forward, may offer more hours depending on the needs of the students.)
To find the live support, students should:

Tips for Student Engagement · We continue to aim for about 30 minutes of work for each core subject daily, and about 60 minutes per week for related arts classes. Time to exercise, enjoy family and leisure activities, and get fresh air are critical components of each day.
· Encourage students to rise each morning, eat breakfast and be ready to start work between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m.
· Students should start each morning by checking school communications and planning their day. They may find their school agenda a handy tool to help organize. Or, they may prefer to make a list that can be prioritized. They should check:
