Dear Parents and Students,
We miss you! We miss you so much, in fact, that teachers have organized a car parade through Briarcliff. We want to let you know how proud we are of the great job our students are doing during this unusual and difficult time. We want to celebrate our community, despite the challenges we face.
The parade will begin tomorrow (Thursday, April 16) at 1:00 p.m.. We want to be sure to be safe and honor social distancing. No teachers will get out their cars, and we ask that you observe from the safety of your home or front yard. If we aren't coming down your street, families may opt to drive or walk to the road to watch, but please do not gather in groups. Remember to wear face coverings and stay at least 6 feet away from your neighbors.
The parade route was arranged in collaboration with Briarcliff Manor Police and Fire Departments, who will escort us along the way. The route is as follows: 1. Leave MS/HS campus and go down Pleasantville Road at 1:00 2. Go through the tree streets 3. Go up Elm Road 4. Go down Tuttle Road 5. Turn on Long Hill Road, cross over Sleepy Hollow Road, and take it all the way to the end 6. Turn right on Scarborough Road and follow it to the end 7. Turn on Dalmeny Road and go down Poplar Road 8. Turn into town 9. Go down Pleasantville Road and back to MS/HS campus
I want to thank Mrs. Craven for developing this plan and reaching out to our local police and fire departments to organize the route. I extend our appreciation to the police and fire departments for lending their support and approval for the parade. We look forward to cheering for you on Thursday!
Regards, Susan Howard and Amy Gladstone
