Boys Varsity 4X100 Ranked 4th in New York State!

The Boys Varsity 4x100m Relay of Jacob Fridakis, Jonathan Gold, Daniel de Castro, and Lee Gelfand broke the school record of 46.666 and ran 45.23 at the Pirate Relays.  The team finished 3rd overall and their outstanding performance in the relay thus far in this outdoor season has resulted in a ranking as #4 in all of NY State. Check out a video of the race here.

Coach Robinson said, "In contrast to Briarcliff, the 3 schools ahead of us are all between 1500 and 4000 students enrolled. The kids are all working hard and I am excited for what will become of our Outdoor Season."

Congratulations Coach Moffett and the VBB team for an outstanding, record-long season!

Briarcliff led by five points in the final minute of regulation. That was first, but the Bears also had a chance to win at the buzzer, then again in overtime. They came that close — on three occasions — before leaving brokenhearted.

Briarcliff's effort fell just short in a thrilling 68-61 double-overtime loss to Mekeel Christian Academy in the Class B state semifinals at Floyd L. Maines Arena Friday. The Section 2 champ (23-3) earned a berth alongside Seton Catholic in Saturday's 9 p.m. state championship after the Section 4 champ won the first semifinal in double-overtime."
