SPORTS PARTICIPATION AND PROGRAMS ON THE RISE

• 59 sports programs offered at the Middle/High school --89% student body participate in at least one sport  (915 students)
• Growth in youth soccer--  More than 450 students now play AYSO
• Lacrosse comes to Briarcliff!  8 new youth teams. 6 new Middle/High school teams
• 15 Middle/High school physical education classes •Growing club and travel team participation

THIS LEADS TO INCREASED DEMAND FOR FIELDS…

ALL WHILE OPEN SPACE IN BRIARCLIFF IS DECLINING.
 
 ADDRESSING THE CHALLENGE……………

• With no room to build new fields we need to:
• Increase efficiency/efficacy of existing field
• Extend hours of use and lengthen season of play
• Create a field impervious to poor conditions and wear and tear

We must install artificial turf and add lights to the multipurpose Middle & High school field.
